- Where can I purchase the Downtown Davis Gift Card?
- Gift Cards are available 24/7 on this website! When in Downtown Davis, you may purchase cards at the Davis Downtown Business Association office, 826 2nd Street, 11:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Monday – Friday, at the Avid Reader Active, 605 2nd Street, or, at The Avid Reader Bookstore, 617 2nd Street, both 10:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m., Monday – Saturday, 12:00 – 8:00 p.m., Sunday.
- What forms of payment are accepted for Gift Card purchases?
- When purchasing Davis Downtown Gift Cards at downtown locations, you may use cash, Visa, MasterCard or Discover. Personal checks are not accepted. All sales are final.
- When purchasing Davis Downtown Gift Card online at DavisDowntown.com, you can use your PayPal account, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express.
- In what amounts can the Downtown Davis Gift Card be purchased?
- Gift Cards are sold in any amount $5 - $500.
- Is there a limit to the number of Gift Cards that can be purchased?
- You may purchase as many Gift Cards as you need, not to exceed a grand total of $1,000 per transaction.
- Is there a fee to purchase a Gift Card?
- A $2.72 is assessed per card purchased. The Davis Downtown Business Association is a non-profit organization; the fee helps to cover administrative costs for the Gift Card program. On October 1, 2011, the $2 convenience fee was increased to $2.72 per card. This increased purchase fee is necessary to offset the increased expenses that we now incur to administer our gift card program as a result of the Durbin Amendment to the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act of 2010. We apologize for this increase and urge you to contact your Senators and Representatives in the US Congress to let them know how the Durbin Amendment has impacted you.

Cards expire 36 months from date of purchase. For cards sold after July 31, 2010, a $2.50 per month account maintenance fee (AMF) will be assessed after one year of inactivity. For cards sold prior to August 2010, a $2.50 per month AMF will be assessed starting a year after activation. The back of the card will clearly state whether an AMF begins after a year of inactivity or a year after activation. Please see the Cardholder Agreement for more information.
- Is there a fee to transfer the balance from one Downtown Davis Gift Card to another?
- A $2 convenience fee applies.
- What if the Gift Card is lost or stolen?
- Lost or stolen cards should be reported immediately to the Davis Downtown Business Association at (530) 756-8763. Any remaining balance on the card will be frozen. A replacement card can be requested and issued for a $5.00 fee per card.
- Can the Downtown Davis Gift Card be mailed?
- Yes! Cards ordered from this website can be mailed to either the purchaser or to a gift recipient. Or, you may choose to mail the card yourself to friends, relatives or co-workers.
- How can I find out the remaining balance on my Gift Card?
- Visit getmybalance.com, enter the card number found on the back of your Gift Card, and press "submit."
- You can also call 800-755-0085 and follow the directions to get your card balance.
