2nd Friday ArtAbout, March 12, 2010
A monthly evening of open galleries and artists’ receptions at businesses, galleries and other art-friendly locations in Downtown Davis and beyond. Events occur year-round, are free and open to the public. Many venues include receptions, refreshments and opportunities to meet artists.
Part of the beauty and fun of the ArtAbout evenings is witnessing the transformation and adaptation of local busineses into “instant” art galleries. The arts play an integral role in the eclectic vibrancy of Downtown Davis, in particular, and the businesses embrace the opportunity to join with the galleries in showcasing the works of local artists who capture the spirit, imagination and ingenuity that Davis and the adjoining UC Davis campus embody.
